After initially training at Stella Adler Conservatory before moving to London to complete an MA in Classical Acting (Royal Central), Ipema starred in Hamlet Isn't Dead's Macbeth as Lady Macbeth and Measure For Measure as Angelo, marking her New York stage debut and listed in New York Shakespeare's Upcoming Performers to Watch For. The same year winning Best Actress in a Short Film for her debut in Sue Kessler's 'Big City Small World'. After finishing a her MA, Ipema made her London stage and writing debut with her play 'Dear Annie, I Hate You', praising her work as "utterly astonishing" (Theatre and Tonic), "masterly (The Stage), and "supremely talented, captivating with overwhelming with star-quality" (BroadwayWorld), earning "Best Show of Fringe" (Sinners Review), a nomination for "Best Lead Performer in a Play" (BroadwayWorld UK/West End Debut Awards).

Ipema has also appeared in international campaigns for Alka Seltzer and Curology.
